Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them. Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits? Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes? You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does. You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does. You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.
You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does. You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.
I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason.. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party. What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits.. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.
The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.
If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red ..
If the Army &Marines are in IRAQ , it's because they want them in IRAQ
If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.
There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.
Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.
They, and they alone, have the power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.
Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.
We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

How would you like to live in a nation in which due process was a detail of history?

How would you like to live in a nation in which the Federal government could enter your house without your permission, or even your knowledge, search the place, and put a device on your computer that would monitor every stroke on the keyboard? This is without your being charged with anything.

How would you like it if the law said that, in the event that you found out what the Feds had been doing to you, you weren't allowed to tell anybody? How would you like it if that ban on talking even included talking to a lawyer? So that if you found out that you were being spied on, and didn't know why, and wanted it to stop, and went and got a lawyer and told him what was going on... you could go to prison for it.

Would you like to live in such a nation?

You already do.

And the law is already in force, and about to become permanent.

It's called the Patriot Act, a laugh-out-loud funny name for the most Un-American legislation since McCarthy.

It was introduced almost immediately after September 11, 2001. Since Bush and his cronies kept saying that the terrorists attacked American because "they hate freedom," one might reasonably assume that our government decided to placate the terrorists by abolishing our freedom.

We have never had the freedom to engage in terrorism, of course; nor should we. It is a crime, and there has always been legislation in place to deal with criminal activity. The Patriot Act is not designed to track crime.

It is designed to track what you say, what you read, what you write. It is about tracking what people think, not what they do.

We might have hoped that the Patriot Act was simply a panicked reaction to 9-11, and that common sense (and real American values) would prevail when it came up for renewal. But that hope was in vain. Last Friday, Senators came to an agreement with the White House about some slight amendments to the act, clearing the way for it to become permanent.

Goodbye, America. We hope you come back to us someday.

We used to be a country that had a bill of rights. Now we're a country where you have to urinate in a cup to get a menial job.

We used to be a country with the presumption of innocence and the right to counsel. Now we're a country where some people can be arrested and held indefinitely without charges and without access to a lawyer.

We used to be a country with guaranteed freedom of speech. Now we're a country where what we say, write and read can be legally monitored.

Does this sound familiar? Does it sound like another country, one which America stood opposed to for decades?

When you consider the provisions of the Patriot Act, you have to wonder what conservative would sign such a thing. And, when we're at a point in history where avowed conservatives will so easily sign away our rights, our freedoms, for some imagined sense of security, only one thing is certain...

The terrorists got what they want.

The terror of President Bush

Following accelerating criticism that the Bush Administration's domestic spying program violated every possible U.S. law and Constitutional amendment, the Bush Administration has now renamed its blatantly illegal domestic spying program the "terrorist surveillance program." Fox News has already adopted the moniker, resorting to classic Orwellian Newsspeak to convince viewers that since this illegal government operation contains the word "terrorist," it must be okay.

Where would George Bush be today without the word "terror," by the way? That single word, it seems, is solely responsible for Bush's continued popularity among simple-minded Americans. Without the word "terror," Bush would have no war, no foreign policy, no justification for decimating the Constitution, and nothing to talk about in his speeches. His entire presidency since 9/11, a few observant people are realizing, is really based on just two things: terror and tyranny. And he's using the former to achieve the latter.

One word can do a lot for a politician, especially if it is repeated like a political mantra. I'm not exactly sure how many times Bush has used the word "terror" or its derivations, because that would require actually listening to all the Bush speeches -- an act that would almost certainly cause the permanent IQ reduction of anyone foolish enough to engage in such activities.

Without question, Bush has invoked the "terror" word with near religious zealotry in his campaigns to simultaneously overthrow foreign nations and domestic civil liberties. Never before has so much evil sprung from the repeated invocation of a single word.

The Terror of the Masses

The outright evil of one man is not nearly as surprising (nor frightening) as the collective evil of the people who go along with him. Dumbfounded Conservatives all across the country blindly stroll into history along the same well-trodden path followed by Hitler's fascist supporters.
It's a well-worn path: First you create an imaginary enemy to justify war. Then you strip away the civil liberties of your own citizens and launch domestic spying programs to keep everyone in a constant state of fear. Next you manipulate the propaganda to tell everyone what to think. The torturing of "enemy combatants" is already underway, and it won't be long before the clockwork arrest of "dissenting" Americans begins.

None of this talk is even in the realm of conspiracy theories anymore. It's practically a play-by-play account of exactly what the Bush Administration is doing. Under the Clinton Administration, a secret domestic spying program being discovered would have been Conservatives' call to hang the poor man from a tree, but under Bush, Conservatives go right along with any liberty-destroying action, no matter how ludicrous or illegal.

That all this is happening right before our eyes, with such obvious historical parallels to the rise of Hitler, is practically unbelievable. The rhetoric is almost exactly the same, except it's in eighth-grade English rather than German. But warmongering and global imperialism need no language translations, because the message communicated by an imperial soldier shoving a rifle in your face is pretty much universal. Both Hitler and Bush call it "freedom," and both explained their invasions of foreign nations as "liberating their people," but students of history know better. (Does anyone read history anymore?)

Like nearly every empire in the history of human civilization, the Bush empire will eventually fall. And in its wake will be left the horrors of American imperialism. One day the mass hallucinations of the Bush supporters will disappear, and they will wake up and ask themselves, "What have we done?" It will be like the citizens of Germany seeing the Nazi concentration camps for the first time following Hitler's suicide. They could not believe what they had supported. They could not imagine what evils they had tolerated, if not downright participated in.
And after the fall of the Bush empire, the American people will have to get down to the business of repairing what's left of the Constitution. They will have to roll back government powers, pursue criminal prosecutions of the active war criminals currently operating throughout the Bush Administration, and reestablish the rule of law.

The King of Terror

It is precisely the rule of law, by the way, that Bush now imagines does not exist. In an astounding act of tyrannical defiance, Bush actually admitted he not only supported the high crimes of secret domestic spying on American citizens, but he actually intended to EXPAND such actions in direct violation of every law upon which this nation was founded. On that day, King George declared his kingship of the land, and effectively announced that he was now above all laws.
Astoundingly, there was no marching in the streets. Members of Congress did not call an emergency session and impeach the President. Even the press hardly mentioned the unprecedented transition that had just taken place, because of course they were too busy high-fiving each other with the word "terror" to actually say anything useful.

The people, the lawmakers and practically the whole country just went along with King George! Consider the irony. The United States of America, a nation that was founded by revolutionaries who insisted on self-rule and freedom from the tyranny of kings, had just crowned its own new king, with hardly a whimper from the masses. It's as if Americans have no knowledge whatsoever of their own history.

Even now, no one seems to notice. We are marching full-force into history's Hall of Shame, with our new king, our new media, and our new imperial wars. Never has so much been evil achieved by the invocation of a single word: TERROR.

And the terror is by no means over. Americans will be kept in a constant state of fear (by chance or by design) for as long as the Bush family can get away with it. Because terror, after all, is very, very profitable for certain industries and power brokers, most of which happen to be strong supporters of the Bush Administration.

Remember, Americans. Remain afraid. Imagine Islamic enemies in your head when you go to sleep at night. Support your new King and his troops. And tune in to Fox News to be told what to do next.

The War on Freedom, Giving up Liberty For Security

In this age of political correctness where to some it is considered intolerant to even wish someone a Merry Christmas out of fear of offending them we see a greater evil looming. Hate crimes or as it was coined in the George Orwell book 1984, thought crimes. We might soon very well find ourselves unable to criticize or protest a group, organization or even the government. Just as there is a war on terror there is also a war on for our freedoms with the two very much intertwined and connected. We see the merging of crime and terrorism where any crime could fall under the category of domestic terrorism. They have been preparing us psychologically to accept the police state while incrementally building a control grid system. German philosopher, writer, poet Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe said that " None are so hopelessly enslaved as those who falsely believe themselves to be free." The police state marches on with fear being used as a weapon and most will give up their liberty for security only to willingly.

In October of 2004 11 Christians in Philadelphia were arrested for preaching the gospel at a gay pride event. Charges against 6 were dropped but the others were up on criminal conspiracy, ethnic intimidation and riot charges. They were facing up to 47 years in prison and up to $80.000 in fines. All this for practising their first amendment rights, handing out literature, carrying signs with a Christian message and witnessing on a public sidewalk during a pro-homosexual rally. They later were acquitted, but this is still very serious and is an example of the effort being made to suppress free speech and I would be saying the same thing if it were the homosexuals in this same predicament. This is taking place right here in America and around the world. In Sweden Pastor Ake Green was recently acquitted for a hate crime where in a sermon some two years ago he called homosexuality "a deep cancer tumor on all of society." Now whether you agree with him or no that is not even the point. This is his belief, his opinion and his freedom of speech and religion should be protected. Even more disturbing is after his acquittal he said in the future he would keep his mouth shut on the subject of homosexuality. So even though he wasn’t found guilty of a hate crime he was obviously greatly intimidated by the whole process and I wonder how many others out of fear will choose not to exercise their freedom of speech? In Austria British writer and historian David Irving was arrested on a warrant dating back to 1989. In his books he says that the holocaust was greatly exaggerated and that Hitler knew nothing of it. Now I strongly disagree with him but still recognize that this is his right to free speech which is something sacred that should not just be selectively enforced or supported when one agrees with the message.

On September 14 of this year the House of Representatives passed their version of the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2005 (HR.2662) Senator Edward Kennedy's Senate version of the anti-hate bill (S.1145) was not given an opportunity to make it to the Senate floor as an attachment to the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (S.108) This ended any chances of the bill passing Congress before the new year but Kennedy along with the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) have both vowed that they will not give up until their hate crimes bill is passed. Hate crime bills have already been defeated four times but I have no doubt that they will eventually pass in America putting it on par with many European countries and even Canada. This will give the government even more power to determine and define what constitutes a hate crime. It could be enforced subjectively to target those individuals or groups the government sees fit and will be used as a control mechanism to regulate free speech. One must understand that free speech should be for all even if that means one does not agree with what another is saying. If they take away someone else's right to free speech it won't be long before they silence you.

Two months ago in Denver Colorado Deborah Davis was riding on a public bus which route takes it through a Federal center. A security guard at the gate climbed on board and demanded to see every ones identification. She told the guard that she had ID but wasn't going to show him. Now before you say to yourself that she was being defiant and difficult we need to understand that she was on a public bus on her way to work and had done nothing wrong. Federal police were called and she was hauled off the bus and later arraigned in December but no charges were laid. She said that "the whole thing seemed to be more about compliance then security." They just looked at every ones ID and did not even record them or compare them with any list. It's all about conditioning us to be good little slaves but no one should be required to show identification without justifiable cause. It's the same as in NYC where a judge ruled that the police have a constitutional right to randomly search subway passengers bags which began after the second bombing on London's transit system. I very much doubt that a terrorist with a bomb is ever going to allow himself or his bag to get searched and this is a direct assault on the fourth amendment that prohibits searches without probable cause. Showing an authoritative official an ID card or getting your bags searched is not going to make us any safer.

After 9/11 and the 7/7 bombings people were scared and it's because of this abject fear we call terrorism that most are willing to surrender even more power to the government. I'm here to tell you that the war on terror is being used as cover, a smoke screen for many things including a full out attack on Americans privacy and freedoms. This sort of police state behavior is spreading to other cities and states. Recently in Miami the police announced that they would be performing random ID checks, staged sieges and riding buses and trains all in an effort to keep the terrorist second guessing. Deputy police chief Frank Fernandez said "Pneople are definitely going to notice it, we want that shock. We want that awe, but at the same time we don't want people to feel their rights are being threatened." This is clearly a conditioning exercise and an assault on our already fragile psyche as the war on terrorism isn't being waged against the evil Muslims and I say that with extreme sarcasm, but against the average American citizentry.

Through the Patriot Act the government has increased its surveillance of individuals, groups, organizations, journalists and it is being used against more American citizens in criminal cases. Peaceful protesting now seems to falls under the category of domestic terrorism as the names and licence plate numbers of those engaging in such free speech activity are being routinely recorded and placed in domestic terrorism files. The FBI has increasingly used National Security Letters for terror and espionage investigations which requires telephone companies, internet providers, banks, credit bureaus and other businesses to provide highly sensitive personal records about their clients and customers. This just seems like the perfect tool to keep track of those who criticize the government or for that matter any person, group or organization that it finds unfavorable. I want to know how many were issued against law abiding citizens that were not suspected terrorists, spies or known associates. You see if your going to set up a police state you will have to compromise, neutralize and eventually terminate dissidents and enemies of the state. It was reported by many sources that at the last Bilderberg meeting its members were angry with the alternative truth movement and more specifically the Christian patriot movement in America and that they would be dealt with. The Pentagon is also expanding its domestic spying operations and new recommendations would allow them to track down and investigate crime and espionage. and this would include the apprehension and detention of suspects. We see the end of posse commentates as the military is to play a bigger role in law enforcement. During the Vietnam war the army spied and kept records on anti-war persons, organizations and those associated with them and it is very clear that this practice has not diminished in the least. Senator Ron Wyden said "We are deputizing the military to spy on law abiding Americans in America."

San Francisco just recently approved a hand gun ban which would prohibit the manufacture and sale of such firearms and ammunition in the city. This will make it illegal for residents to keep handguns in their homes and businesses. Those excluded from the ban will be law enforcement officials and others who require a firearm for their line of work. Current handgun owners will have until April to surrender their firearms. What they are doing is taking guns out of the hands of law abiding citizens you know the ones that don't commit crimes. Do you honestly believe that criminals who obtain their guns illegally will comply with such a ban? Come on give me a break. I see this as yet another trial balloon with poor misguided people rallying to the lets stop the gun violence cause but in reality what they are really doing is contributing to the further disarming of the population. You need to get the criminals off the street not the guns of lawful citizens who can use them to protect themselves. A clear violation of the second amendment took place after hurricane Katrina with the authorities engaging in gun confiscation of those who had legally owned firearms. It was these same guns that kept many individuals, families and property safe from opportunistic criminals when there was no police presence. This has always been their plan and new precedents are being set. The disarming of the population is a classic sign of tyranny.

What would happen after another terrorist attack nuclear or biological causing massive casualty counts? Former U.S. intelligence official and Vietnam whistle blower Daniel Ellsberg said that after another attack there would be more restrictions on freedom of speech and of the press. He also said that, "In a time of fear, I believe the majority of American people will cling to authority." Yes we've already been pre-conditioned to give up our liberty for security. General Tommy Franks said that if such an attack occurred, "The Western world, the free world, loses what it cherishes most, and that is freedom and liberty." This means that the constitution would be scrapped replaced by a martial law form of government where civil liberties would be suspended, curfews enforced and the military would carry out law and order. Recently Bush was fear mongering openly talking about martial law and forced inoculation ib the case of an epidemic outbreak like the avian flu. In a radio interview on the Alex Jones show Republican Congressman Ron Paul said "They are determined to have martial law. I think they're concerned about the remnant, the remnant of those individuals who don't buy into stuff and think that they should take care of themselves on their own, that they should have their own guns and their own provisions and they don't want to depend on the government at all and I think that is a threat to those who hold power. They don't want any resistance to their authoritarian rule."

We are on the verge of a big brother, track and trace, police state society a future with cameras and check points everywhere, national ID cards will have to be shown or even microchips scanned to prove ones innocence. Under the guise of security new legislation and technology will be used to gain more control over our lives and enslave us. We need to stand up for what is truly right and must not allow ourselves to be compromised, bullied or pressured. We need not conform and should never be afraid to express our thoughts politically or socially. It was so called radical ideas that made this country grow and prosper. Not everyone has the capacity to lead but together I assure you we our an unstoppable force and that is exactly what they fear. I don't want to remember back to this time when we had this window of opportunity but did not act. After the next terrorist attack, natural disaster or even a epidemic outbreak you need to ask yourself who has the most to gain? We need to judge our leaders not by the lip service and rhetoric they spew but by their actions. Freedom is becoming more of an illusion, precedents have been set and we have all been pre-conditioned to give up our liberty for security. Martial law
